Short Courses for International Students in Indonesia

Jakarta (ID), April 2010 - The International Office of Binus University, a large and fast-growing private university in Indonesia with over 27 years of experience in education, has announced three special short courses for this summer. They are to be held in July 2010 and promise to be two exciting weeks in the world's fourth-most-populous nation. Application deadline for all three courses is 30 April 2010, and seats are limited.




The courses are entitled Indonesian Art and Culture, Emergent Indonesia, and Indonesian Tourism: Culture, Culinary, and Heritage.

The course on Indonesian Art and Culture focuses on the development of Indonesian art and culture from pre-historic times to the modern day and invites the students to interact with one of the most progressive universities and see the heartbeat of a thriving nation.

Studies in The Emergent Indonesia immerses participants in practices and customs of a multi-faith and multi-ethnic society and focuses on learning the Indonesian language and its application in various living and business settings.

The course on Indonesian Tourism: Culture, Culinary and Heritage teaches the students to cook Indonesian cuisine and includes visits to the major tourist attractions in Jakarta and Bali, such as the Old Batavia, Tanah Lot, and Uluwatu Temple. It focuses on understanding issues in contemporary tourism and related trends in Indonesia.
