Closing a Glaring Gap

Tickets Now Available for Learning at the Moment of Need

Amsterdam (NL), August 2011 - Tickets are now available for Learning at the Moment of Need, a two-day workshop taking place in Amsterdam on 19 - 20 September 2011. As a result of a series of successful workshops in the United States, LearningGuide Solutions' Dr. Conrad Gottfredson and Bob Mosher are looking forward to conducting this Performance Support Workshop in Europe for the first time.

"Many organisations struggle to extend the toolkit and competencies of learning professionals to more effectively support the performance of workers on the job", said Mosher. "This is not a new idea, but a glaring gap exists." During the two-day workshop, attention will be focused on the Performance Support discipline with updated practices to address the challenging needs of 21st-century learners. In addition, organisational issues will be discussed, including dealing with resistance and cultural changes.

Participants will receive tools that will immediately allow them to apply Performance Support - supported by effective business cases - in their own organisation and gain access to online practice applications. After the workshop participants can share experiences by becoming active in the online Performance Support Community, also headed by Gottfredson and Mosher.

Conrad Gottfredson is a consultant at LearningGuide Solutions and has over thirty years' experience in advising organisations in the areas of leadership development, organisational learning, instructional design, knowledge management, and content-development methods.

Bob Mosher is Global Chief of Learning Strategy and Evangelism for LearningGuide Solutions and has been an active and influential leader in the learning and training industry for over 23 years. Mosher is a frequent speaker at conferences and a columnist in CLO magazine. He is also involved in organisations like CompTIA ASTD, The E-learning Guild, and The Masie Center.

The workshop is intended for human-resource managers, learning-and-development managers, learning consultants, and professionals with responsibility for managing and accelerating performance in the workflow.
