IADIS International Conference eLearning 2011

Rome (IT), March 2011 - The International Association for Development of the Information Society (IADIS) eLearning 2011 conference, held 20-23 July 2011, in Rome, will address the main issues of concern within eLearning. This conference covers both the technical and non-technical aspects of eLearning.




One of the confirmed keynote speakers is Dr. Francois Desjardins, Associate Dean, University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT), Canada.


The following main topics have been identified for Conference submissions. However, innovative contributions that don't fit into these areas will also be considered since they might be of benefit to attendees. Acceptance will be based primarily on originality, significance, and quality.

Topics for this conference include, but are not limited to

  • organisational strategy and management issues
  • technological issues
  • eLearning curriculum-development issues
  • instructional-design issues
  • eLearning delivery issues
  • eLearning research methods and approaches
  • e-skills and information literacy for learning

The Conference will be composed of several types of contributions:

  • full papers - accomplished research results, eight pages maximum length (5,000 words).
  • short papers - work-in-progress reports/fresh developments, four pages maximum length (2,500 words).
  • reflection papers - these might review recent research literature, indicating what the findings suggest, and/or providing a suggestion for a different approach or perspective on the problem, four pages maximum length (2,500 words).
  • posters / demonstrations - these contain implementation information or work in progress, two pages maximum length (1,250 words) besides the poster itself (or demonstration) that will be exposed at the Conference.
  • tutorials - tutorials can be proposed by scholars or company representatives. A proposal of maximum 250 words is expected.
  • plus: invited talks, panels, a doctoral consortium, and corporate showcases and exhibitions.

This is a blind peer-reviewed Conference. The best papers will be selected for publishing as extended versions in the IADIS International Journal on WWW/Internet (ISSN: 1645-7641) and also in the Interactive Technology and Smart Education (ITSE) journal (ISSN:1741-5659).
