Course-Source Outlines a New Way of Buying eLearning

London (UK), February 2011 - Course-Source has an unconventional but extremely cost- effective approach to providing eLearning materials. It guarantees its customers no initial set-up costs in terms of IT hardware, no software or maintenance overheads, and no costs for installing additional servers on the customers' company intranets.

Ken Wood, the founder and director of Course-Source Ltd, explains, "Traditionally, eLearning operates like this: You decide which course titles you want to buy, and the price is based on how many users in your organisation can access the materials whether they are needed or not."

"Our approach is different and involves flexible, enrolment-based pricing. This way, learners can access entire training libraries, and it doesn't matter if one person does thirty courses while twenty others do only one. Our customers save money, cut waste, and get better returns on their investment by allowing interested users to do more", he says.

In addition to offering enrolment-based course pricing, Course-Source's approach allows clients to deliver learning content via their own in-house learning-management system (LMS) without having to store all the content files on their servers. Alternatively, they can opt for the Course-Source LMS, which does the same thing as a fully managed service.

Course-Source customers include several NHS Trusts, the International Organization of Migration (IOM), Trinity Mirror Group, and Randstad, all of which use enrolment-based pricing to deliver cost-effective eLearning to their staff.

"Time and money are precious, so why waste them?", Wood commented. "You won't waste either of these precious commodities when working with Course-Source. To prove our point, we'd like to invite all visitors to this year's Learning and Skills to invest some of their time there by visiting our stand, number 175, and ask us how we can save them money on their eLearning purchases."

Course-Source also provides bespoke eLearning development on the basis that clients always own the content produced and get the source files, so they can make their own changes in the future. In addition, it supplies authoring tools and training to help clients create their own eLearning and works collaboratively with them in the entire process.
