Boston, MA (USA), November 2008 - The United States Distance Learning Association (USDLA) cordially invites professionals in the distance- learning industry to attend its national conference. Next year's gathering is being held April 26-29, 2009, in St. Louis, Missouri. The 2009 USDLA International Awards will be presented at a special ceremony during the event.

The conference is an opportunity to share ideas, learn about distance-learning programs and products, and gain a better understanding of the field. It provides participants with new relationships and contacts with others involved in distance learning.

Proposals are now being accepted based on the 2009 theme, "Distance Learning: Becoming faster, stronger, and better." The submission deadline is December 5, 2008. The five Conference Tracks are: Advances and Research in eLearning, Professional Development via Distance Learning, Innovative Distance Teaching and Learning, Technology Innovation, and Global Initiatives.

USDLA further invites entries for the 2009 Distance Learning Awards. Entry submissions must be postmarked by January 14, 2009.
