ELearning Blended Model for Higher Education

Amman (JO), October 2007 - UKS, a Middle Eastern learning solutions enabler, has announced its participation at the MIT LINC 2007 conference to be held in Amman, Jordan on October 28-30, 2007, with an executive session to be held in Dubai, UAE on November 1, 2007. MIT's LINC is a consortium of educators from around the world who are interested in using distance and eLearning technologies to help their respective countries increase access to quality education, particularly high school and university education, for a larger percentage of the population.

Mr. Garcia will be presenting a paper at the conference titled 2Experience in Implementing a Blended Model of Education at Al-Ahliyya Amman University", which will take the attendees through the implementation of the UKS Blended Model of Education in a university setting.

In addition to its participation in the MIT LINC 2007 conference, UKS will be holding a pre-conference workshop titled "Implementation of a Blended Model of Education Delivery in Higher Education" on October 27, 2007 at the Marriott Dead Sea resort in Amman, Jordan.

In this free workshop, UKS consultants will present attendees with a detailed walkthrough of the steps necessary for the successful adoption and implementation of a blended model of education in a university environment. The topics to be covered include: Hybrid Education Principles, Instructor Role in Blended Education, Collaborative Learning, Use of E-content and Support Infrastructure and Student Assessment Techniques.

"It will be a great opportunity for universities in the region to attend the UKS workshop and gain hands-on experience with the UKS eLearning Blended Model," said Nada El Marji, UKS Director of Sales and Marketing.
