LINE to Deliver Mobile-Learning Workshop

London (UK), November 2013 - LINE Communications, a European provider of learning and communications solutions, will be delivering a hands-on workshop on mobile learning at Great Ormond Street Hospital's (GOSH) Learning Innovations Conference on 19 November.

The workshop, titled Making Mobile Work for You, will be delivered by LINE’s Design Director, Andrew Joly, and LINE’s User Experience Architect, Katie Hart. In the one-hour session, they will dispel some of the myths about mobile learning, help delegates get a clearer picture of what it is and where it's going, and illustrate how simply effective apps can be designed and created.

Andrew Joly explains, "Whether you are already involved in designing learning apps or you are only just considering taking the plunge, this session will give you a fresh perspective on how to make mobile learning work. You will walk away feeling inspired and equipped with a mobile-design pack that you can use in your own organisations."

The Learning Innovations Conference is the first of its kind orchestrated by GOSH, and it is open to anyone with an interest in technology and education. The Conference will highlight key speakers from across the field of organisational learning who will outline the innovation and technology used in the workplace to support learning and development.

Speakers include Donald H Taylor, Chairman of the Learning and Performance Institute; Laura Overton, MD of Towards Maturity; and Rob Hubbard, Chairman of the ELearning Network.

The Conference is open to GOSH employees and other interested professionals, and delegates will have a chance to network with other leading members of the learning-and-development industry.

Edward Lines, Account Manager at LINE, says, "LINE has worked in partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital since the end of 2012, and we are delighted to be involved with this brand-new event organised by their L&D team. It’s great to see the organisation take such a hands-on approach to innovation in the field of learning technologies. It promises to be a fantastic day."
