From Classroom Training to Online Learning Programs

Naples (I), June 2013 - Docebo and Trinity Mirror have presented a best practice that syndicates the value of learning-management systems and how eLearning can support quality and customized programs for learners across the UK. It proves the benefits provided by a cloud-based LMS like Docebo, which include learners being able to reach their educational and informational resources anywhere via the Internet and from any device. For Trinity Mirror, it means a tangible competitive advantage to support blended trainings.

Steve Tinniswood, Director of Learning and Development at Trinity Mirror explained, “When we were faced with choosing a new eLearning provider, I had four headaches that I wanted to get rid of. I wanted to make sure anyone, irrespective of what equipment or browser they had, could get access to eLearning. I wanted a system that would enable us to improve the quality of our content. I wanted to start to explore social learning and a system that helped us in this was helpful. And I wanted my customers to have a positive experience and for everything to work smoothly. The result so far is that my headaches are gone, and I'm sleeping soundly!”

For Trinity Mirror, Docebo made perfect sense because the UK-based media-and-publishing group had a well-established Sales Academy that provides face-to-face training programs across the UK. It required that these be reinforced and tracked using a cloud-based LMS. The company also migrated to Google Apps, and an SSO (Single Sign On) solution was high on the wish list for company’s learners.
