From eLearning to m-Learning
Around 500 million smartphones, 34 million tablets, and more than one million app downloads in 2011 alone - in view of these figures, it is clear that mobile learning has long since become a matter of course for many users. Nevertheless, companies and organisations that commission the creation of mobile learning material are still dominated by considerable uncertainties regarding which technologies are used in this creation, which formats are suited to which concrete goals, how m-learning should differ from classic eLearning, and what requires attention when drafting a mobile learning project.
These and other questions are the topic of the new IMC white paper entitled -˜From eLearning to m-Learning - are you using the potential of smartphones, tablets and co.?.
As well as detailed descriptions of various formats such as the native app or the mobile website, it also describes two concrete case studies showing that different educational objectives and target groups require individually customised course modes and formats.
