Considerable effort was made to avoid this situation, and alternative arrangements for the continuation of the conference were sought, but none have been forthcoming. The EAC2012 Organising Committee deeply regrets this situation and any inconvenience that may be caused to anyone associated with this year's planned gathering.

Conference presenters, registrants, and sponsors have been notified of the cancellation. Alternative opportunities to share eportfolio knowledge and practice will be investigated to enable those keen to come together so the sharing of eportfolio engagement can continue.
