The Rolls Royce of the Production Platforms

Chichester (UK), June 2012 - The launch of CBTL's EVOLUTION³ production platform in Great Britain took place in the exclusive ambiance of Rolls Royce. The premises of the Goodwood production facility in West Sussex, constructed in 2003 and honored for its architecture, were made available for the Evolution clients in attendance at this very special users' gathering. In addition to gaining insight into the future-oriented content-production possibilities offered by EVOLUTION³, the participants also had the pleasure of becoming acquainted with the tradition-rich, tried-and-true manufacturing plant from which Rolls Royce's exclusive vehicles emerge.

Trevor Mosedale, CBTL's representative in England, opened the event with comments about the uses of formal and informal learning in a corporate learning environment. He described how the growing use of mobile learning is contributing to the formalization of informal learning processes.

In addition, keynote speaker Simon Shaw, founder of Edable and former Head of Institutional Management at Becta, emphasized the future importance of mobile learning units that, imbedded into the context and possessing adequate usability, will increasingly lead to training measures "at the point of need."

The EVOLUTION³ production platform has the capabilities to meet these and many other demands. It not only has the flexibility to generate learning contents conveniently and efficiently in a wide variety of formats - including Flash, HTML 5, PDF, ODP, and others - from a single source, but also makes the creation of variants a simple, straightforward matter. And the entire process is supported by integrated project-management tools.

In fact, numerous tools are integrated into EVOLUTION³ that facilitate the rapid, uncomplicated development and editing of media such as video, images, and presentations. These components assure an intuitive workflow and provide a constant overview of the progress of the various steps in the content production.

The new aids and integrated tools simplify both the creation of complex learning content and "rapid production", so that even inexperienced authors can master both without difficulty. The platform greatly simplifies what was previously an extremely complicated endeavor.

CBTL and other providers in the branch foresee an upward trend for learning on laptops and other mobile devices, an activity that occurs both in the office and - of course - increasingly away from the desk. In particular, experts anticipate upward demand for

  • operator training
  • safety training
  • systems training and
  • diagnostics training.

EVOLUTION³, an application-specific development platform to create productions for user interfaces across various mobile and desktop platforms, clearly addresses this growth area. EVOLUTION³ is and will remain a state-of-the-art platform because the framework's feature set encompasses

  • production in multiple languages
  • easy creation of SCORM courses
  • HTML 5 compatibility
  • controlled access from LMS.
