Green Project Management™ Courses Available
The QA Green Project Management™ courses put sustainability at the heart of the project- management design process and will help project managers consider sustainability in all aspects of project or programme delivery. The course covers elements such as directing project outcomes towards energy efficiency, emissions (carbon) reduction, water efficiency and waste minimization. It also explains how to make a real difference by having a sustainable supply chain for project management.
GPM led the way in offering the first global accreditation in Green Project Management, and its expertise has been recognised at the highest levels, with GPM being named an NGO partner of the United Nations Civil Society Division.
The demand for sustainable project management originally started in the construction sector, where projects have to comply with sustainability legislation. Project briefs across all business sectors now mandate some element of sustainability.
Joel Carboni, Chief Executive Officer of GPM adds, "Within the project management body of knowledge, social responsibility has been largely centred on individual integrity rather than placing emphasis on the external environmental effects that result from projects. GPM's mission is to address these needs by incorporating sustainable green methodologies into project management practice to help organizations more easily achieve their environmental goals with quantifiable applications."
The course is ideally suited for project or programme managers who want to augment their current skills set with sustainable methodologies, people responsible for implementing a sustainable approach to project management in an organisation, or individuals wishing to gain knowledge of how going green can enhance project and programme outcomes.
The two GPM accredited courses are
- Sustainability in Project Management (one-day course)
- Mastering Sustainability in Project Management (four-day course)
