Jane Hart on Transforming Organisational Learning
"What is the best way to change – with a huge leap of faith, or by taking incremental steps? And if you take smaller steps, which will make the most difference?" asks conference chair, Donald H Taylor.
"In this interactive session, Jane Hart will consider the small changes L&D can make to help organisational learning become more relevant in the modern age."
Jane Hart’s session, Transforming Organisational Learning, will compare web-fuelled learning with older training approaches and identify the opportunities for small changes to old practices. The conference session will consider how L&D can narrow the gap between formal and informal learning, balancing the need for content and social interaction and enhancing the role of the workplace-learning professional.
Jane Hart is a social learning consultant, helping business and education understand how new technologies can be used for learning and business performance. Jane is the founder of the Centre for Learning & Performance Technologies, which provides a number of free resources for L&D professionals, including the Directory of Learning Tools, the Top 100 Tools for Learning, and the Connexions Directory of Learning Professionals Online.
The Learning and Skills Group Conference is an annual follow-up conference to Learning Technologies, examining learning-industry trends, practical strategies, and the technologies that are driving organisational learning. It takes place on 17 June at Olympia in London.
