Induction Strategies that Work

London (UK), August 2013 - Leaders in learning technologies Epic and benchmarking experts Towards Maturity have teamed up to host LearningNow: Induction strategies that work. The session will tackle the challenges of creating and implementing successful and effective induction courses that will help organisations save valuable time and resources as they bring employees up to competence. The interactive and practical event will take place on 25 September in London.

Facilitated by Laura Overton, Managing Director of Towards Maturity, the programme will address the challenges that many employers and employees face during the induction and onboarding process.

This LearningNow event will highlight common pitfalls of unsuccessful induction. Attendees will participate in interactive discussions that examine the real issues faced when developing induction programmes, before gaining practical insight on how to employ learning technologies to rethink induction and onboarding. Better induction means time and money saved, as organisations can cut down on face-to-face training and increase performance and productivity of new recruits.

"Great induction experiences not only provide an important introduction to the company but to the way the company learns and shares together," said Overton. "I'm excited about the new LearningNow event, as it provides an opportunity to rethink how we are using learning technology in our onboarding processes and to work collaboratively to improve engagement by redefining the induction experience."

The event is the second in the three-part LearningNow series, jointly sponsored by Towards Maturity and Epic. LearningNow events go beyond the typical lecture format to offer attendees the opportunity to learn during practical and interactive sessions with their peers and with top experts.

The event will take place from 9:30-14:00 on 25 September at One Drummond Gate, Victoria, London.
