Third iLearning Forum 2008
For 2008 the exhibition and conference will continue to grow. Originally known as eLearnexpo Paris, the new name, iLearning Forum, reflects important evolutions: the need for integrated learning strategies, reaping the benefits of advanced learning technologies such as Web 2.0, virtual worlds, serious games, and ePortfolios to support informal as well as formal learning for organisational development.
The 2008 call for papers continues the search for the leading-edge technologies for learning in the 21st century. The five key themes are:
- Designing eStrategies for learning organisations, including talent management
- Designing learning spaces with advanced learning technologies, including virtual worlds and serious games
- Supporting lifelong learning and employability, including ePortfolios
- Exploiting the full potential of digital identity
- Improving quality of learning with technologies
The event aims to equip learning professionals in both education and training with the means to design and implement digital strategies in the service of all forms of learning: individual and organisational, face to face and at a distance, initial and continuing, professional and personal, and formal and informal.
Confirmed keynote speakers include Fulup Ar Foll of Sun Microsystems, Daniel Kaplan of Fondation Internet Nouvelle Génération, and Serge Ravet of EIFEL.
For the 2008 edition, the organisers expect the conference to grow to over 500 delegates, with between 3500 and 5000 visitors to the exhibition. The exhibition will feature a cyber-café, a press lounge, a VIP lounge, and a live presentation and demonstrations area with free access for visitors.
The Call for Contributions is open until 30 November 2007. This event has dedicated plenary presentations and parallel tracks in English and French.
