LINE Supports SeLC and iVentiv's Knowledge Exchange

Zurich (CH), April 2010 - LINE Communications has announced its sponsorship of the first Swiss eLearning Conference (SeLC) on 13-14 April in Zurich. LINE also sponsored the iVentiv Learning Technologies Executive Knowledge Exchange in Amsterdam last month and facilitated a well-received workshop on how to make more effective use of mobile technology in learning.

SeLC is a new event aimed at the Swiss professional learning community and will be held at the Swiss Professional Learning exhibition. The topic for the event is "Learning Makes Markets", with a strong focus on new ways of learning. Delegates will not only be able to benefit from the conference itself, but also from highly innovative pre-conference and post-conference activities.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn about different forms of virtual and digital learning, presented by industry and visionary leaders in the field. SeLC will provide an exciting and interesting source of information and inspiration for delegates and an excellent platform for professional networking and exchange.

Conference speakers include senior representatives from Credit Suisse, Swiss Re, UBS, Siemens, and IBM. The internationally renowned Jay Cross will deliver one of the keynote addresses, entitled "Learning and Business Are One and the Same".

Ian Leader, LINE's Managing Director for Central Europe says, "LINE has had a major presence in Zurich for the past three years, and we are pleased to be supporting this innovative event. Many of our major Swiss clients will be attending SeLC, and there is a genuine interest in the links that can be proven between technology-led learning and tangible business results, particularly when done at scale."

iVentiv Learning Technologies Executive Knowledge Exchange in Amsterdam was a highly intense and productive opportunity for some of the leading European learning strategists from organisations as diverse as Adidas, BBC, BT, Credit Suisse, EDF, Nike, Nokia and Shell to come together and share ideas and experiences.

As well as LINE's workshop, there were thought-provoking presentations from Charles Jennings (formerly of Thomson Reuters) and Nick Shackleton-Jones (BBC). Other highlight included inspiring case studies on the subject of social networking (BT) and other technologies (BBC and others) to create effective and responsive informal learning networks in large organisations.

Steve Ash, Director of Sales and Marketing at LINE says, "This event is one of many European events we are sponsoring this year, and it provides an excellent forum for delegates to share their success stories regarding the use of technology for learning.

These events allow us to spend time listening to and exchanging knowledge with our customer base, which is an important aspect of our continued expansion into Europe. We found this event particularly inspiring because it proved that LINE's approach of looking at learning technology in a much wider and multifaceted way was likely to meet our clients' needs much more effectively."
