International Meeting of University Administrators

Vancouver (CA), April 2008 - University managers and administrators should not miss the sixteenth International Meeting of University Administrators (IMUA), organised by the University of British Columbia, in conjunction with the UK Association of University Administrators and the Association of Heads of University Administration. The 2008 conference will be held from 17 - 21 August, 2008, in Vancouver, Canada.

Its theme is Globalization of Higher Education, with four sub-themes:

Evolution of Learning
Research Commercialization
Sustainability
Leading & Organizing Academic Institutions of the Future

All will be discussed in a context of rapid internationalisation of higher education.

Planning for a strong professional programme is very well advanced, with four excellent keynote speakers - including one Nobel Laureate - and a varied programme of presentations by participants. Registrations to date have come from some thirty countries, promising a truly international event with excellent professional and social components.
