ICT and Natural Science Education Conference

Siauliai (LT), July 2009 - The international scientific conference "Information & Communication Technology in Natural Science Education - 2009" will take place 26 - 29 November 2009 in the Conference Centre of Siauliai University in Siauliai, Lithuania.



Organizer of the Conference is the Natural Science Education Research Centre of the Faculty of Education at Siauliai University. The main aims of this conference are to disseminate ideas of natural science education, to share experience among educators, and to search for opportunities how to improve the process of natural science and technology education applying modern information-communication technologies.

Main topics include:

  • Individualisation of natural science education by applying ICT
  • Balance between instructivistic and constructivistic approaches to natural science education by applying ICT
  • Philosophical, psychological, economic, social, political, and didactic aspects of using ICT in natural science education process
  • The use of modern ICT in natural science education process: past, present, and future
  • Information and computer literacy of students and teachers as one aspect of using modern ICT in natural science education process
  • Competency of teachers in the field of using ICT in natural science education process, and improvement of competencies
  • Using modern ICT in professional training and improvement of professional skills of natural science teachers, etc.

Paper Presentations, Interactive Poster Presentations, and Workshops are all invited formats of contribution.
