First International Conference on Key Competencies
The conference will bring together representatives from education, training, industry, government, and trade unions in order to identify and share innovative and productive policy and practice in the domain of development of key competencies.
The challenge of ensuring that citizens and employees are equipped with the skills and competencies needed to live and work in the 21st century has never been more urgent. Demographic trends, global competition and technological advances make it even more imperative to raise the level of skills and ensure that these are maintained in line with rapid evolutions.
The conference provides a forum for attendees to forge international links and produce action plans for ongoing collaboration and development. While recognising the realities of competition, the conference organisers wish to encourage "co-opetition", building strong partnerships in order to raise skills levels, increase productivity, and promote social inclusion. The conference will be conducted in English.
EIfEL, the non-profit European professional association is organizing the conference. Its mission is to support organizations providing or using technologies to support individual and organizational learning.
Registration is now open. Earlybird registration is available up to 31 May.
