Creating a 25,000-member Community within Ninety Days
As part of recognizing the unique work among its diverse community, appsbar has also launched appsbar Gallery, an online studio where anyone can see the thousands of apps published using appsbar. By visiting http://www.appsbar.com/AppsGallery, anyone can scroll through all the published appsbar apps, sorting them by category or searching by description or title. appsbar Gallery visitors will be able to use all the functions of each app from any PC or Mac computer. The apps can be downloaded to mobile devices at the Android Market or Apple App Store.
"Each of the 25,000 members of the appsbar community has shaped and defined appsbar-, said Scott Hirsch, founder and CEO of Appsbar Inc. "As we mark this incredible milestone, we want to recognize the individual work of the appsbar app builders with the contest and the gallery featuring their work. We've enjoyed seeing each app published and downloaded, but we can't wait to see what the community itself thinks is the most impressive app."
Beginning 05 September 2011, "Digi", appsbar's iconic digital wizard, will select an app each day for five days from among those posted to the appsbar Facebook page. appsbar app builders can begin posting their apps to the page immediately, and the very subjectively judged contest (after all, Digi is a robot) will recognize an appsbar app builder based on a variety of categories, including overall design, best use of coupons, best musicians' app, best small-business app, and best use of social networks.
Since the beta version of appsbar was launched on 27 April 2011, the community has grown faster than its creators imagined, and the app builders themselves have played a major role in evolving appsbar into the best tool for publishing apps that engage family and friends, business customers, and celebrity fan bases.
The beta version of appsbar has been refined and updated to meet the diverse and wide-ranging needs from among the community. Launched as the first all-free website that combines a full-range of professional-level technology tools and functions, app store guidelines, and the portal to get apps published, appsbar has since grown to include:
Social Sharing - Now app builders can share their app across social networks, including Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter, as well as across their email lists - from their app or their desktop, even if the app hasn't yet been published.
- appsCoupons - This offers the first way for an app builder, free of charge, to build and deliver coupons on a one-time or recurring basis straight to their most loyal customers.
- Two for One - appsbar apps are published to both the Android Market and Apple's App Store.
- appCoaches - Each app submitted from the appsbar community is tested by an expert appsbar appCoach, who works with the app builder on potential problems that would prevent publication.
"We knew people, small businesses, musicians, and even the tech-savvy needed a free and easy way to enter the app world - and we're excited that each of them has helped us make appsbar the spark that ignited an evolution in mobile communications", Hirsch said. The rapid success of appsbar is due in part to its role as the first cost-free and device and app platform-agnostic tool that's simple for anyone to use. An appsbar app builder simply needs an email address and an imagination, and from there they can join the community.
Building and publishing apps to share with world through Apple App Store and Android Market can be done from a PC, Mac, or tablet device by visiting www.appsbar.com, where anyone can join an evolving community.
