UKS Agreement with UAE Ministry

United Arab Emirates (UAE), November 2006 - Universal Knowledge Solutions (UKS) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the UAE Ministry of Labor (MOL) to build essential competency development programs.

The collaboration aims at mapping the skills and competencies required to build the Ministry's human resources capacity by providing a wide range of programs designed to improve performance and services and hence meet the high quality standards expected by the management.

UKS, in collaboration with its training and consultancy partners, is delivering a comprehensive, state-of-the-art solution that comprises a Learning Portal Interface, a Competency Management System, and Competency Mapping Consultancy. These three key requirements have been identified for the program's success.

The MoU signed by UAE Minister of Labor Dr. Ali Bin Abdullah Al Kaabi and Universal Knowledge Solutions CEO Mr. Fadi AbdulKhalek is the result of rigorous ground work conducted by UKS experts based on a previous agreement set up by both parties in order to draw a road map for the Ministry's program.

The agreement will enhance mutual cooperation between the Ministry and UKS to provide fundamental career enhancement and training programs to the leaders, managers, and employees at the MOL. Rather than focusing on the result itself, the program will tackle the factors behind government staff's apathy by building a career path for each employee with a clear set of competency and performance measurements, hence boosting their motivation and reflecting directly on their entire attitude towards the job.

The Minister noted that, "The improvement of our employees' performance on the job is one of the strategic priorities of this country and has gained great interest from H.H. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler of the UAE and H.H. Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai.

This project contributes to and follows the regional trend heading towards growth and performance by empowering human resources with fundamental career enhancement and training programs."
