Trinity Mirror Deploys Tools from Atlantic Link

Nottingham (UK), March 2008 - Rapid eLearning continues to push into new industry sectors. Atlantic Link, a provider of advanced rapid-eLearning tools has announced that the Trinity Mirror is the latest organisation to purchase its Content Point authoring tools, with a view to expanding the use of eLearning across the company. Trinity Mirror publishes more than 200 regional newspapers, five national titles, and operates more than 300 online brands.

Commercial Systems Training and Development Manager of Trinity Mirror Regionals David Rad says, "In a geographically widespread business, eLearning is an excellent way of ensuring that consistent training to equivalent standards is taking place across the group. The advent of advanced eLearning authoring tools such as those from Atlantic Link means that our own training teams are able to design and implement highly professional eLearning quickly and easily."

Explaining the Trinity Mirror selection criteria, David Rad says, "There is a range of rapid eLearning tools in the market place, but it was clear from the outset that we needed a top-end product that would allow the design of high-quality eLearning on a collaborative basis. The ability to simulate a live system environment combined with the strong learning management system and flexible content generation meant that it was a straightforward decision to select Atlantic Link's solution."

Mike Alcock, Atlantic Link's Managing Director, is delighted to see the firm's software being introduced into another large group. "Trinity Mirror is a giant in the world of newspaper and magazine publishing. More and more sector-leading companies are seeing the possibilities of using rapid eLearning to revolutionise the overall learning within their companies. It is the smartest companies in each sector that are moving quickly into this area for their staff training, thereby gaining a competitive advantage over their competition."
