Thinking Worlds Scoops up Hat-trick of Awards

London (UK), December 2009 - Thinking Worlds was honored with three separate international awards within the space of one week during November 2009. Thinking Worlds is the world's leading 3D simulation-authoring tool and engine and has been used to develop over fifty serious games. The system is unique within the simulations market as it was built specifically for designers and learning specialists. Thinking Worlds allows non-technical users to create their own, rich 3D simulations and games in a fraction of the time and a fraction of the cost of other 3D engines.

These highly engaging simulations can then easily be sent to users anywhere in the world through their browsers.

These achievements were recognized by both the eLearning Age awards and the Learn Trends awards. Thinking Worlds was the engine behind the game that scooped up "Best Learning Game or Simulation" at the eLearning Age awards and also secured a silver award for "Most Innovative New Tool or Technology" at what is recognized as Europe's most prestigious eLearning awards night. The judges' citations include the comment that "Thinking Worlds is a great product idea that lets learning professionals create sophisticated 3D worlds on their own without any knowledge of coding".

As these awards were being announced, Thinking Worlds was busy capturing the award for "Innovation in Learning" at the Learn Trends conference. This is an online conference that spans the globe and is run by some the US's leading industry names. In presenting the award to Caspian, Jay Cross said that the tool was "really exciting, opened new opportunities, and was just wonderful," whilst George Siemens outlined the authoring tool's simplicity of use and ability to create 3D immersive simulations for low cost and in a short timeframe as reasons why the tool deserved the award.

Graeme Duncan CEO of Caspian said, "These awards and accolades demonstrate not just the great applications that can be built with Thinking Worlds, but also that the era of Rapid Sims is here. Learning professionals around the world are now able to create their own 3D games for themselves and are embracing the opportunity in great numbers".
