New Partner for the Charity Learning Consortium
The consortium also works with other training providers to ensure a supply of training that is appropriate and relevant to the needs of those working in the voluntary sector. The consortium aims to source appropriate courseware and negotiate the best deals for its members, who are able to benefit from the buying power of the consortium as well as from networking with other members at meetings and electronically.
Martin Baker, Managing Partner of the Consortium commented, "The aim of the consortium is to share best practice and resources. Members value the ability to share experience, both successes and other areas that didn't go so well. The sharing and support are key benefits, as is the buying power of the consortium as a group".
Existing members of the consortium include The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, Leonard Cheshire, Macmillan Cancer Support, Independent Age, WRVS, The Football Foundation, The Royal British Legion, The Princes Trust, Retail Trust, Carr Gomm, Refugee Legal Centre, The Royal Society, and the Nottinghamshire Community Housing Association.
