Meeting the Leadership and Management Skills Gap

London (UK), May 2012 - The Corporate eLearning Consortium ® a unique partnership with GoodPractice to provide essential resources to meet the leadership and management-skills gap faced by British business.

Almost three quarters (72%) of organisations in England reported a deficit of leadership and management skills, according to the latest CIPD annual Learning & Talent Development Survey. The organisations surveyed cited lack of time as one of the greatest barriers to developing these essential skills, hence the call for "resources not courses" at the CIPD's annual HRD conference.

A range of trusted resources from GoodPractice, now available from The Corporate eLearning Consortium, aims to meet this need by providing online, on-demand leadership and management resources that can be accessed at the point of need. The toolkit includes much in demand mobile learning as well as video content, making it an incredibly flexible and accessible online resource, in a bid to meet the needs of busy managers.

Martin Baker, Managing Director of The Corporate eLearning Consortium, comments, "Great leaders and managers are essential to the future success of British business. As executives are increasingly overwhelmed with the challenges they face, it is essential that relevant resources are available to them when and where they need them. The GoodPractice toolkit on offer from the Consortium can really help to meet this need."

Peter Casebow, Chief Executive of Good Practice, adds, "'Resources not courses' was the key message from the HRD conference. If you're looking for appropriate resources to help improve the performance of your leaders and managers, then look no further than The Corporate eLearning Consortium, which can now provide support with our tried and tested Toolkit for Leaders."
