Sector-specific
Learning Nexus Launches a Housing Course
London (UK), October 2012 - Learning Nexus, an eLearning content producer in the UK, has released a course for the housing sector. It is the first of a projected series of sector-specific eLearning courses. The release follows the findings of a customer survey.
The course, called -œAn Introduction to Housing-, focuses on five topics. The content presented
- describes the different forms of housing provision and tenure in the UK,
- details the relationship between landlord and tenant,
- lists the range of services offered by housing organisations,
- states the responsibilities of tenants and landlords, and
- helps learners understand how social housing is funded.
Due to the current economic climate and the concomitant difficulties for first-time buyers in getting on the housing ladder, social housing is becoming ever more important. This course is designed to enable learners to understand housing provision and housing organisations.
The course duration is sixty minutes and is available as audio or non-audio options. It targets housing associations and other public-sector organisations that have a stake in housing, and is the first of a possible range of sector-specific courses to be produced by Learning Nexus.
