LearnCreate Hosts eLearning Course Challenge
Trainevision is a new performance-improvement company with a unique approach to training with video. They develop off-the-shelf, video-rich learning for companies of all sizes and are the creators of the Telly Award-winning "Learning Show™", Customer Service Intelligence™.
The contest consists of two phases: an initial "ideation" phase followed by course development. In the ideation phase, anyone can submit ideas to convert the dynamics of an immersive instructor-led training session into an award-winning eLearning course. Winning participants will receive $500 for any submission of unique ideas that are used in the eLearning course and will be automatically shortlisted for the course-development phase of the competition, a phase not open to the public.
"Our challenges are transforming the way that learning content is created," states Don Hernandez, Founder of LearnCreate. "What is unique about this challenge is that the primary focus is on ideation, which is the formation of ideas or concepts, rather than a tangible product. One of the benefits of using crowdsourcing in this manner is that often the best ideas or solutions come from people outside of the profession. In this case, we expect a high number of submissions from corporate workers who've been forced to sit through hours of horrible eLearning content. Of course, this challenge also gives designers from across the globe the opportunity to work with a visionary provider such as Trainevision."
"Today's and tomorrow's learners are an entertainment-savvy crowd. I call them Workforce 3.0.", said Leigh Gregory, Founder, CEO and Chief Creative Officer of Trainevision. "So our mission is to combine our Blended Matrix™ instructional design with compelling video and game theory to create effective content that engages these talented people and redefines the boundaries of eLearning. That's why we're seeking the brightest eLearning minds in the LearnCreate global community. We're excited!"
The contest is open and the deadline for ideation entries is 14 November 2012.
