imc AG Goes to Britain

Saarbruecken (Germany) / Birmingham (UK), November 2006 - imc AG of Germany (Saarbruecken) officially founded a subsidiary, imc (UK) Learning Ltd., on October 25th 2006 in Birmingham. The company will launch its products and services in the UK at the "Learning Technologies 2007" exhibition and conference at Olympia 2 in London from 31 Jan - 01 Feb 2007.

With the foundation of the UK-based subsidiary, imc AG intends to expand its international activities in English-speaking countries: the company has already been managing projects at KPMG (UK) and E.ON (formerly Powergen) in the UK for two years.

imc (UK) Learning Ltd. is a Gold Sponsor at the "Learning Technologies 2007" exhibition and conference, taking place in London from January 31 to February 1, 2007, where it will introduce its innovative technologies - the Learning Management System CLIX and the Rapid Learning Solution LECTURNITY - to UK learning professionals.

Dr. Frank Habermann, Managing Director of imc (UK) Learning Ltd., expects exciting growth in Great Britain: "The market for learning-management solutions in the UK is highly mature, and we are therefore convinced that imc products and services will be attractive to UK customers.

Our growing customer base, not only in German-speaking countries but also in Canada, Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, and the UK shows that imc's solutions are highly competitive. We are looking forward to competing in a truly global marketplace. Our customers and successful projects are our best reference. In the future we will be able to serve our British clients even better and furthermore to expand our customer base in the UK. We expect our sales team in the UK will be supplemented by new UK-based consultants within the next one-to-two years".

Dr. Wolfgang Kraemer, speaker of the board of imc AG, adds: "Together with Germany, Great Britain is the most important market for learning-management solutions in Europe. Although we have not yet been present in the UK with our own office, our discussions in the run-up to 'Learning Technologies 2007' made it evident that customers and competitors are already well aware of imc. For us, the new UK subsidiary is a first step to the Anglo-American market. Moreover, a US office of imc is already planned".
